What does PlateStack Coach do?

It answers questions about your own record. “Why has my bench stalled?” “Am I getting enough protein on training days?” Coach looks at the logs that matter for that question and answers from them, not from a generic plan.

We built it because the hard part of tracking is not collecting numbers. It is reading them. Coach does the reading, then hands you something you can change.

  • Answers from your logs

Food, training, cardio, body records, plans, and habits from your own record.

  • Editable drafts

Workout plans for everyone, meal plans with Premium. Nothing saves until you say so.

  • Notes after a session

The workout summary can add a short note per exercise. It costs no credits.

How do workout and meal plan drafts work?

Open Plans and choose Build with AI. Pick your goal, schedule, experience, and equipment, and Coach drafts a plan. Every day and exercise stays editable before you save it into your workout cycle.

Ask for a plan in chat instead and PlateStack asks “Save this plan?” before writing anything. Meal plan drafts (1, 3, or 7 days) are Premium and land in your meal plan, where you can move or remove any meal.

  1. Open the Plans tab and tap Build with AI.
  2. Choose your goal, days per week, experience, and equipment.
  3. Review each day, swap or remove exercises, then save.
  4. Start the next planned day from the Train tab when you are ready.

What will the Coach never do?

Some rules are written into Coach itself, not left to chance. It never invents an entry, a set, or a trend that is not in your record. When your record is too thin to answer, it says what is missing instead of guessing.

It does not diagnose symptoms, interpret lab results, or discuss medication. Injury, pregnancy, and eating-disorder questions get a short answer and a pointer to a qualified professional. It will not shame you, label foods good or bad, or compare you with other people.

It never hands you a new calorie target. If a target you set sits below a conservative intake floor, Coach says so once and will not help you hit it. Meal plan drafts below that floor are refused before any credit is spent.

What does the Coach see, and where does it go?

Only what the question needs. Section 1.2 of our privacy policy is the closed list. In its words, a request “may include limited age, biological sex, goal, preference, food-log, hydration, fasting, workout and RIR, cardio, body-progress, saved-plan, habit, recipe, reminder, Coach-memory, the screen the request was started from, and separately authorized connected-health context needed for that result.”

Your full name, email address, and full date of birth are excluded, and progress photos are never part of a Coach request. Connected-health context comes from Apple Health on iPhone, and only if you connect it.

Coach replies come from Anthropic, through our own server; no AI key lives in the app. We do not sell your data, and we do not permit AI providers to use what you send for advertising or to train their own models.

What does Coach remember?

As you chat, Coach can save short facts you state yourself: your equipment, schedule, preferences, and goal details. It is told never to save medical conditions, injuries, medication, pregnancy, eating-disorder information, allergies, or your location.

Open Coach memory to see every note. Forget one, or forget them all. Clearing the chat removes the conversation from your phone and your account backup, and leaves your logs and plans alone.

What is free and what needs Premium?

Starter gets 3 Coach messages a month, plus 5 AI credits shared with photo, label, and voice logging. A workout plan draft costs 3 of them. Premium includes Coach, plan drafts, and meal plans. It is metered by fair-use limits, never “unlimited”.

Common questions.

Is PlateStack Coach free?
Starter includes 3 Coach messages a month and 5 AI credits, and a workout plan draft costs 3 of those credits. Premium includes Coach and plan drafts, metered by fair-use limits rather than credits.
What data does the Coach see?
The parts of your PlateStack record that fit the question: targets, recent food, training, cardio, body records, plans, habits, and the notes you asked it to remember. On iPhone, Apple Health context is included only if you connect it. Your name, email address, full date of birth, and progress photos are never sent.
Can the Coach change my targets or my plan?
Not on its own. It proposes; you confirm. A plan from chat only saves after you approve it, and Coach never hands you a new calorie target.
Is the Coach medical or dietary advice?
No. It does not diagnose, interpret lab results, or discuss medication, and it points injury, pregnancy, and eating-disorder questions to a qualified professional.
Can I delete what the Coach remembers?
Yes. Coach memory lists every saved note, and you can forget one or all of them. You can also clear the chat, which removes it from the phone and your account backup.

Ask it about your week.

Install PlateStack, log a few days, then ask Coach what it sees. Starter’s three messages a month are enough to find out whether it is useful to you.
