Made by people who log their own lifts.
PlateStack is a small team’s answer to running four apps to describe one day. Here is why it exists and what we promise about it.
Why we built it.
Our own training was spread across four apps: a food app, a workout notebook, a habit checklist, and a notes file for bodyweight. Describing one ordinary day took all four, and none of them knew about the others.
PlateStack is the single record we wanted. We use it every day for our own training, which is how we find the rough edges before you do.
The one rule.
Scores, XP, and streaks reward the presence of a record. They never reward hitting a calorie, macro, or weight number. That is written into the code that hands out XP: reaching a calorie or protein target is worth zero, and so is a “perfect day”.
We did that on purpose. A tracker that pays you for the right number teaches you to hide the wrong one, and a record with holes in it is not much use to anyone. A bad day should still get logged.
What we will not do.
We will not show ads or sell your data. We will not call an estimate a measurement: every AI estimate is labeled and editable before you save it, and it can be wrong. We will not invent reviews, ratings, or download counts for this site. There are none to show yet, so there are none here.
A build check compares this site’s pricing table with the app’s own limits and stops the site from deploying if they disagree.
How it pays for itself.
Starter is free and does not expire. Premium adds Coach, AI logging, planning, and longer history, for $1.99 a month or $14.99 a year in the US. Every limit is written down on the pricing page. Search, barcode scanning, and workout logging stay free.
Who is behind it.
PlateStack is made by StackForge Studios, a small indie studio, which also makes casual games. Legally the studio is JMB Assets LLC. The inbox on the support page reaches the people who write the app, and a person reads it.
Try it for a week.
Starter is free and never expires. If something gets in the way of logging, tell us.
Free: unlimited food search, barcode scanning, and workout logging. No ads.
